
Taho (Silken Tofu Dessert)
A classic Filipino street food dessert made with just 3 ingredients. Warm silken tofu swimming in caramel syrup with chewy tapioca pearls.

- 11.Cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions until translucent. Drain and set aside.
- 22.Make the arnibal (caramel syrup): Combine brown sugar and water and microwave for about 1 minute until dissolved. OR In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly.
- 33.Gently warm the silken tofu in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in a pot of simmering water.
- 44.Scoop the warm silken tofu into serving cups.
- 55.Add a generous spoonful of cooked tapioca pearls on top.
- 66.Drizzle with the warm arnibal syrup. Serve nice and warm for a comforting fun drink!

Chef's Notes
I like buying the 5 minute bobas for this, a plus if they're the microwavable version! Just follow package instructions and they come out perfectly~
So far, most of the 5 min bobas I've found can be microwaved, use ½ cup boba, add a little more than ¾ cup or about 7/8 cup of water and microwave for 3 mins and leave it until the boba floats before draining.
