
Vegan Tofu Mushroom Sisig
A sizzling, savory, and tangy Filipino classic made vegan with crispy baked tofu, soy curls, and mushrooms. Best eaten with white rice, fried rice, or java rice!

- 11.Preheat oven to 400 °f.
- 22.Press tofu to get rid of as much moisture as you can, about 10 minutes. Set aside.
- 33.Soak soy curls in water for about 10 minutes, or until soft. Drain and squeeze out liquid.
- 44.Cut and prepare all the ingredients while waiting for the tofu and soy curls to be ready.
- 55.Coat tofu, soy curls, mushrooms in 2 tbsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- 66.Place in the oven for 10 mins and then broil for 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- 77.Heat up a pan. Add oil and sauté half of the red onions until translucent.
- 88.Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- 99.Add green bell pepper and sauté for 1-2 mins, until fragrant.
- 1010.Add the baked tofu, soy curls, mushrooms, the remaining half of red onions, and soy sauce. Mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

- 1212.Serve topped with lots of green onions, a dollop of mayo/egg yolk sauce on top, and a sliced lemon. Best eaten with white rice, fried rice, or java rice.
